Chef Gary Bulmer

Chef Gary has been cooking professionally for more than 30 years around Lake Tahoe and the San Francisco Bay Area. Starting in 1985 he created first Earthly Delights Catering, then the Bakery and later a Gourmet Grocery in North Lake Tahoe. He moved to Sausalito in 2002 to open first Treviso Osteria and later Paradise Bay.  In 2006 he went to work for Williams-Sonoma at their flagship store in Union Square as their resident Culinary Expert and main cooking class instructor, followed by  two years as a wine educator at Gloria Ferrer Winery in Sonoma. Gary continues to support the Best of Tahoe Chefs’ Dinner, an event that he co-founded to benefit the Tahoe Forest Cancer Center. 

Today he is proprietor of Scrumptious Affairs, specializing in healthy, creative, global cuisine presented artfully and using the freshest and healthiest ingredients available. In addition to catering, Gary is also the chef at the San Francisco Fly Casting Club in Truckee, CA.

Gary is an avid cyclist and cross-country skate skier.
